Our Yorkshire Terriers

Yorkshire Terriers have long been adored for their long silky , Blue and Gold coat, darling personalities and diminutive size. They were developed in England in the late 1800 as Ratters but soon found their way into the hearts and laps of families of the Victorian era. This small Terrier has no idea that they are so small and can show the true Terrier traits. Loyal and Loving, playful and smart, but they do have a stubborn streak and can sometimes be hard to housebreak.
Yorkshire Terriers General appearance is that of a well proportional, level backed dog with a coat of long , silky hair parted down the middle of the back from head to tail. Dark Steel Blue and gold is the desired coat color but many pet dogs have keep the black and tan coat they were born with and some turn a silver on their back and platinum on their heads. Which ever color they become , their personality shines through, their eagerness to be part of their families life devotion they show make them a wonderful family dog. Because of their small size older children make better playmates. Yorkies should not exceed 7 lbs. Occasionally you will see dogs up to 10 lbs and as small as 2 1/2lbs.
We have been raising Yorkies for over 10 years. Now in 2010 I am offering them on our web site. I have now gotten 2nd generation dogs that have the baby doll faces and small size that I like and get so many requests for. I hope you will find your perfect pocket size Yorkshire Terrier from my family of FUR Kids.
